Welcome to all4barefoot.com
Background and training. I grew up riding barefoot horses and started trimming myself after one of my horses developed laminitis in 2002. Dr. Eleanor Kellon helped us save her life with her invaluable advice on diet and insulin resistance, then taught me how to trim to her specifications, shaping the external hoof capsule evenly around the internal structures of the foot. I trimmed just my own herd until a friend asked me to trim her chronically laminitic horse in 2004 and the results were so successful that other people started asking me to trim for them too. As a result, I joined the American Association of Natural Hoof Care Practitioners training program, trained with Pete Ramey and worked closely for a time with Jaime Jackson, and was invited to become a NTW Clinician with the AANHCP. In 2008 a group of us in the Pacific branch of the AANHCP decided to form a smaller organization with a specifically western area training program and we founded Pacific Hoof Care Practitioners. I am on the board of directors of PHCP, serve on the education committee, and am a mentor in the training program. I am also available for coaching via email re trimming, IR, laminitis, and diet.
